Over time, I've learned that whatever you give focus, attention, and energy to is what comes to reality. It's unbelievably exciting just how much power we have over our life; by the words we speak, our beliefs, and our mindset.
For a while, Kortney and I talked about hosting an event, a Vision Board party, and so much more, and this year WE DID IT! We showed up, just as we were, with what with had and with the support that followed in an effort to host an amazing Create the Vision, Make it Plain Vision Board Event. This wasn't just your regular yearly Vision Board event. We met with an amazing group of like-minded women determined to see their visions come to fruition. I won't spill all the details because of course you'll have to be at the next one just to find out just what's sets this Vision Board party apart, but what I will say is that we now have a beautiful accountability circle that looks forward to sharing and celebrating each other wins.
Before we began, we had an Icebreaker to kick out off where we have been on our journey, where we are, and then finally the Vision Board where we are headed, but starting now right where we are. With this Icebreaker, everyone pulled a Penny from the jar, depending on the Year, each person got a chance to introduce themselves and tell what memory they had or something significant about that year. For some it was truly a moment of self-reflection, in that moment they were able to see just how far they've come.
Okay! So, that brings me back to the first paragraph of this post; whatever you give focus, attention, and energy to is what comes to reality. The Vision Boards created are just that. What we have chosen to give focus and attention to as we kick off the year 2022.
Everyone had their own reasons on why out of all Vision Board parties they could've attended they choose to attend ours, but what I will say is that Kortney and I left the venue with our hearts full and accomplished. Yesterday gave what it was supposed to give. Each person took away something meaningful to help them kick start their journey to becoming their best selves for 2022.
Personally, I'm excited about this journey. Not only for myself but for these beautiful women as well. I know firsthand what it feels like to pray, manifest, and speak things into existence. I've had some of my own Vision Board ideas come into reality:
✨ Bought a House
✨ Got Married (specifically Jamaica 🇯🇲)
✨ Experienced Promotion & Increase
✨ Got a New Car
✨ Traveled
✨ I decided to be the Hero of my own story! I started to focus more on me and my journey and how I could help and empower other women on their own.
This is to name a few things God came through on. Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life. What we focus on expands. I can't wait for you to join us at the next event. Until then, be sure to follow our pages as we have so many exciting things on the way.
